2026 Introductory Summer Workshops

We are excited to open registration for our Summer 2026 Workshops at Learning Encounters! These workshops are designed specifically for students taking the Middle-Level ISEE or applying for admissions in fall/winter 2026.

Timed Writing Workshop

9:30-11:00 A.M. or 4:00-5:30 P.M.

This workshop has been specifically designed to help students create responses for their timed writing assessments. Our lessons will focus on crafting rich, engaging narratives that reflect each author's unique viewpoint and strengths. Designed with the Los Angeles middle and high school timed writing assessments in mind, our admissions experts developed our classes to address the specific needs of students applying to private and independent schools.

Reading Comprehension Workshop

11:15 A.M. -12:45 P.M.

Students will develop the core skills and strategies needed to approach the ISEE Reading Comprehension section with confidence. Through guided practice, discussion, and targeted feedback, students learn how to navigate challenging passages, understand question-specific strategies, and build pacing and timing.

Mathematics Workshop

1:15-2:45 P.M.

This workshop strengthens the foundational skills and problem-solving strategies needed for both the Quantitative Reasoning and Mathematics Achievement sections of the ISEE. Through guided practice, review of key concepts, and step-by-step approaches to common question types, students build confidence, accuracy, and fluency with the ISEE math standards.

Note: Students may take one, two, or all three classes per session.

ISEE Writer’s Workshop: 9:30-11:00

ISEE Reading Comprehension: 11:15-12:45

Lunch: 12:45-1:15

ISEE Math 1:15-2:45
